I’ve built on this platform for the past 5 years, posting every single day. I’ve put my heart and soul into it. I have 350,000 followers and an online business, all of which exists because I started an account on Twitter.
I'm a person who cares about this platform.
I want to preface this article by saying: I’m not writing this to attack Elon Musk, and I’m not writing it to attack X. We’ve built a community of hundreds of thousands here, and the fastest way to push this platform in the right direction is simple:

And in today's article I'm going to state WHY...
X Is a Public Square
Elon Musk once said:
“Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated.”
Let's stop pretending X is some niche app because it is the most important website in the world.
It's a place where politicians, world leaders, journalists, markets, wars, finance, and culture all collide in real time. Elon himself has emphasized that the core function of this platform is to be a public square.
And public squares carry public responsibility.
I've been building on this platform every single day for the past 5 years so you may not be aware about some of the functionality...
Here's a few things you need to know:
Anyone can open an account on X. There is no meaningful age verification system. Teens, minors, parents, journalists, predators, and adults all coexist on the same platform. There is no gatekeeping function. So let's stop pretending X is a platform where adult content only reaches adults.
FACT: A 2022 survey from Common Sense Media found that 54% of teens have seen pornography by age 13, and 20% prior to age 11.
The ramifications on Western Civilization will be disastrous.
Now let's talk about how pornography spreads on x...
How Pornography Spreads on X
There's a lot of misconceptions. As I've often talked about this, people will come into my comment section and say, "Don't look at it, and the algorithm won't show it to you." That's not true.
Let me explain how pornographers and OnlyFans models use X to get traffic.
First, they use a technique known as baiting.
This is done in two ways:
They will go to big accounts and try to comment-hijack them with salacious replies. You get an innocent-looking account in comment, you click on it, and BOOM you're hit with porn.
They'll do this directly to you with DMs.
Another way pornography spreads here is because of how revenue works.
Some large accounts post pornography, softcore porn, or AI-generated porn purely for engagement farming. Shock value drives impressions, which drives payouts.
All this is done while there is no visible labeling for pornographers.
Anyone can bait you with any one of these tactics, and nobody tells you what you're walking into.
Something has to change.
The Real Science Behind Pornography
There is real science behind the harmful effects...
A study published examined data from BYU with took data from over 3,500 people in committed relationships.
The study found that pornography use by men or women at any level negatively impacted romantic relationships, with a pronounced negative effect on relationship stability (families).
“Relationship stability is weakened by pornography usage for both men and women,” said Dr. Brian Willoughby, BYU
But it gets even worse...
A 2021 study of young men aged 18–35 found that more than 20% reported some degree of erectile dysfunction.
Let that sink in: THIS IS YOUNG MEN
They measured usage patterns and relationship satisfaction.
And we haven't even talked about the ramifications for Western Civilization.
Pornography is also a hotbed of human trafficking. Estimates suggest that of the 40.3 million people enslaved globally through human trafficking, 79% are sexually exploited.
Sites like Pornhub have been known to profit from filming rape, sexual abuse, and child sex trafficking, with over 100 confirmed cases displaying child sexual abuse according.
At the end of the day, every platform becomes what its lowest denominator is and its lowest denominator of clientele.
Every platform becomes whatever it rewards.
Governments are starting to realize this...
Banning Porn on X is INEVITABLE
As of the publication of this article, 25 U.S. states have enacted age-verification laws, including Texas and Florida.
FACT: Texas is where X is headquartered.
It is only a matter of time when Texas will demand that X complies.
This is not a fringe movement.
There are also international restrictions in the UK and parts of Europe.
X will eventually be called to account because it is the easiest place for minors to access pornography. This part is inevitable.
So the way I see it X can either lead the way now or be dragged into it kicking and screaming it's a compliance later.
Much better to be ahead of the curve and start taking action NOW.
Western Civilization is WORTH Saving
Elon Musk said:
"Population collapse due to low birth rates is a much bigger risk to civilization than global warming... if people don't have more children, civilization is going to crumble."
And all of this is coming at an all-time low for fertility while global pornography viewership is at an all-time high.
Correlation does not mean causation.
But pretending these trends are unrelated is dishonest.
I'm not sure how you can read this article and come to the conclusion that pornography still deserves to be belong here.
